Overview
The Postdoctoral Research Associate Jean-Daniel Djida, supported by the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) is the Acting Research Chair in Mathematics and its Applications at AIMS-Cameroon.
His research interests are in Linear-nonlinear Partial Differential Equations, Potential Theory, Climate Sciences, Shape Optimization and Deep Neural Network.
Research Activities
•Organisation of seminars, colloquiums, workshops, conferences, and summer schools jointly with national and international universities/institutions at AIMS-Cameroon.
• Supervising PhD students working as assistants of the Chair and participating in the academic activities (doctoral courses, seminars, colloquiums, workshops, conferences, etc.) at the University of Buea, Dschang, Douala, and the Technische Universitat Dresden in Germany. The PhD program is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Opportunities
• Short Research Visits (1-2 weeks) at AIMS Cameroon;
• Research in Pairs Initiative: 2-4 weeks visits by a Cameroonian researcher and a local research partner from another university; or an international
research partner; or PhD or post-doctoral researcher;
• Co-organization of Short Courses, Colloquiums, Conferences, and Workshops;
Registration
Students in the mathematical sciences wishing to join the Research Centre may apply to register for PhD with the Chair. All good and relevant research
proposals will be considered.
